Terms of use
VerkApp is currently in development. Company terms and data-processing terms take effect through recorded acceptance by an authorized representative. Real-company pilot use starts only after the operational onboarding checks, including backups and recovery, have passed. Publication alone does not activate a pilot or a paid subscription.
The service and the agreement
VerkApp is operated by Benjamín Ragnarsson, Iceland; contact Benjarag7@outlook.com. These are standard terms for companies and their authorised users. A representative accepting for a company must have authority to bind it. The company’s acceptance must record its identity, representative, document version and date. Publishing these pages alone does not constitute acceptance.
The privacy notice explains processing. The data-processing terms form part of the customer agreement and prevail for matters concerning processing on the company’s behalf.
Pilot and charges
The pilot is free. It does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. Any future price or paid subscription requires a separate express agreement. The service is under development; features and availability may change. It is not an emergency service or a substitute for workplace safety procedures or legally required recordkeeping.
Ownership and permitted use
Ownership of VerkApp’s software, brand and service is not transferred to customers. Subject to these terms, authorised users may use the service for the customer company’s work. Customers retain their existing rights in their submitted content; the operator receives only the permission needed to provide and secure the service and fulfil lawful obligations. Personal-data rights remain governed by applicable law.
Customer responsibilities
Customers must have a lawful basis for the personal data they enter, inform affected people, keep permissions current and use accurate information. Users must protect their credentials and must not bypass access controls, access another company’s records or misuse the service. Do not enter unnecessary sensitive personal information. Report suspected security incidents to the operator.
Optional address suggestions
When enabled, Google-powered address search is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, incorporated here by reference, and Google’s Privacy Policy. Verify suggestions before saving. Search is subject to rate and usage limits; manual entry remains available when search is unavailable or its cap is reached.
Retention, closure and service interruptions
The standard retention schedule in the privacy notice forms part of this agreement. It applies across customer companies, subject to statutory rights and documented lawful exceptions. The company can request closure through the contact email. Following closure, the standard 30-day export window and live-data deletion process apply, including an earlier lawful deletion request where applicable.
The operator may restrict access to address misuse or a security threat and will explain the action and allow correction where circumstances permit. A planned end to the pilot will be communicated in advance so the export process can be used. Users should confirm important changes have saved and use another communication route during an outage.
Changes and applicable law
Material changes will be communicated before they take effect. Changing the operator to a future company will require appropriate notice and contractual arrangements; it is not assumed by these terms. Icelandic law applies subject to mandatory protections under other applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact the operator first to seek resolution of a concern.
